Low Incidence Exceptionalities

This course examines less frequent exceptionalities found in schools in Ontario. Low incident exceptionalities including blind/ low vision, deaf/ hearing impaired, deaf/blind, giftedness and rare syndromes will be examined. Prevalence, etiology, identification, developmental consequences and outcomes will be discussed. Current research, service delivery models, intervention strategies and community /provincial resources will be reviewed.
