The course includes one hour of computer lab per week giving students an opportunity to access a number of Internet sites to research investment alternatives including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and money market securities. Students will compete in the Canadian University Investment challenge, a real-time portfolio simulation program designed to help students master online investing. This comprehensive educational program lets students actively manage a fictional $100 000 brokerage account and provides them with access to research, an investment learning center and real-time customer support.
