The second field placement provides opportunities to strengthen the knowledge and skills applied in the first placement. Students will be placed in a childcare program or kindergarten classroom with young children that is different than their first practicum. The students will use what they learned in their first placement and continue to participate in all aspects of the program, this time with an enhanced focus on curriculum and reflection. Students will focus on building partnerships with families and staff and build their leadership skills as they plan and implement student led days.
