This course will provide service learning experiences through community placements and oral health programs aimed at a target population. Interacting with clients and populations that do not access traditional dental/dental hygiene services will allow students to gain more insight into unique community needs. As well, students will gain experience with inter-professional collaboration in a community setting. Additionally, students will develop an evidence-informed community health program to address an oral health issue.
