This theoretical and practical course provides an introduction to the promotion of oral health and the prevention of oral diseases. The assessment of factors which affect the oral health of target populations, the development of policy in response to population need, and the conditions which are conducive to good health for all will be stressed. Students will develop a community oral health promotion activity applying the process of needs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
