They apply theories of teaching and learning to develop an educational activity for a community group and a variety of evaluation methods to determine program success. Finally, the use of oral health surveys to gather epidemiological data, current trends in community oral health status, and the essential community oral health services required by the Mandatory Health Programs and Services Guidelines Ontario are examined.
