This course builds on the foundation and pharmacological agents described in DTL 320. The following drug category/class will be introduced and discussed: drugs acting on the central nervous system (anti-anxiety, antidepressants, antipsychotic);, drugs acting on the endocrine system; drugs acting on the cardiovascular system, drugs acting on the central nervous system as well as anticancer and immune modulating agents. The action of each drug class, their therapeutic applications, major adverse effects and drug interaction and significance in dental patient management will be discussed.
