In this course, the philosophical and theoretical aspects of the teaching/learning process are examined. Concepts of health promotion, client education, and health related education activities for individuals and groups are included. An introduction to the methods and materials for instructional design/planning, and instructional media production are discussed. Lesson planning and education preparation with an emphasis on goal and objective writing, approaches for teaching various age groups, lesson plan development, individual versus group presentations, and the use of appropriate visual aids will be presented.
