Clinic theory focuses on the relationship of nutrition to clinical dental hygiene as well as tobacco cessation initiatives. Selecting evidence-based preventive and therapeutic interventions including irrigation, desensitization, oral rinses and oral cancer screening are also discussed. A data management module is deleivered in the laboratory component and students self-evaluate their clinical skills at regular intervals, reporting on their progress.
