Clinic Process Of Care

This course provides a foundation for Level II Dental Assistant client care in semester II. Within the course, an introduction to collecting assessment data relevant to client dental care will be addressed, with an emphasis on appropriate terminology, documentation and maintenance of client records in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. A review of common medical conditions and their implications to dental care will be included. The dental process of care as applied to the clinical area is a major focus including the elements of assessment, dental diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
