This course prepares students to assess, correct vulnerabilities, and incorporate the insight gained from ethical hacking to design secure systems. Students apply tools, and penetration testing methodologies used by ethical hackers in a simulated workplace environment and reflect on what and who ethical hackers are and how they protect corporate and government data from cyber-attacks. The methods and tools used in attacks, their countermeasures, and available security resources and attack type systems are investigated.
