Computer Forensics and Investigation

This course covers computer forensics and methods of investigation., Students will build expertise in digital forensic tools and use them to acquire, preserve, and manage digital evidence to support investigations, analyze cyber intrusion, examine organizational policy violations, and resolve disputes. Students will examine the chain of custody and documentation of evidence/procedures supporting investigations conducted by law enforcement. Working within a simulated workplace environment, students will learn how to conduct a high-tech investigation, from acquiring digital evidence to reporting its findings.
