Health And Safety In The Workplace

This course is designed to assist the student to learn aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and issues. Understanding the rights of the individual worker and the well-being of others in the work community will be part of this course. The development of the Act, agencies that contributed to the Act, as well as those affected by it will be illustrated. The course will develop an awareness of personal responsibility and realization that the Act is law. Functions of W.C.B. and W.H.M.I.S. are illustrated.
