In this course, students will be introduced to the creative art of aromatherapy, perfumery, fragrances, essential oils and their applications in Esthetics services. Students will discuss the many benefits along with any adverse effects that may result from the use of essential oils. Students will review treatments and equipment currently available on the market and employed in salons and spas. Students will also be trained in body wrapping and its benefits. One component to this course is a one hour relaxation treatment. Students will be required to model professional behaviour and demonstrate appropriate hygiene. Students will be expected to use proper communication skills and continue to practice client education and sales techniques.
