An examination of the role and activities of technical writers. Students will learn to develop audience/purpose profiles and design technical documents to meet readers' needs. Plan, draft, test and revise product-based and user-based technical documents. Develop strategies for preparing proposals, delivering presentations, and managing collaborative writing projects. Design documents for publication in print or online. Learn a four-stage process for editing technical documents.
