Transition To College & Work

This course will assist the new CICE student to successfully transition to the college and vocational environment. Orientation to the CICE program and to the learning environment will be key first steps. Students will be made aware of resources and support systems within the college and will be encouraged to self-advocate. Strategies for college success will be a primary focus, centered on such skills as time management, stress management, organization and study skills. Students will begin their preparation for field placement by exploring the concept of essential skills and vocational goal setting.
