Environmental protection is a concern to all Canadian and Ontario citizens. Knowledge of legislation enacted to help protect our environment is important for all of us, whether we apply this personally or in our vocational, roles. This genreal education course explores the history of major environmental issues and related legislation in Canada and Ontario, and provides an overview of current federal and provincial environmental legislation. The significance of this legislation for the future will be examined.
