The objective of this course is to identify workplace safety under the Occupational Health and Safety Act /Regulation and to identify the requirements for compliance with, manufacturers' recommendations and specifications for occupational health and safety procedures. The student will learn aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and be able to, identify the legislative requirements relating to their workplace. Understanding the rights of, the individual worker and the well-being of others in the work community will be part of this, course. The course will develop an awareness of personal responsibility and realization that, the Act is law.
