The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) plays an important role in administering and enforcing legislation on behalf of other federal departments and agencies. This course focuses on the legislation pertaining to the import requirements of commodities regulated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and other federal government departments. Students will become knowledgeable of the applicable legislation and exemptions that apply to commercial and non-commercial importations for food animals and plants and the CBSA report and release procedures.
