The purpose of this course is to provide students with the fundamental physics of various body tissues and systems. The structure, composition, and function of various tissues and systems will be examined. Emphasis will be placed on mechanical properties of tissues, metabolic processes, fluid pressure, physics of the cardiovascular system, physics of the respiratory system, and electrical properties of tissue.
