This course will provide an in-depth study of the design features, operating principles, static and dynamic test procedures of automatic shift transmissions; both mechanical and Electronic Shift control. The design application and advantages of vehicle retarders will also be discussed. The student will also learn to evaluate systematic problems logically, describe and perform service repair operations.
