This course will provide an in-depth study of the design features, operating principles, static and dynamic test procedures of commercial vehicle standard gear transmissions systems, multi speed differentials as well as standard transmissions accessories. Electronically automated standard transmissions and transfer case, drop box and power take off assemblies will be discussed. The student will also learn to evaluate systematic problems logically, describe and perform service repair operations.
