This course is the second of three components of fieldwork and provides the student exposure to a variety of interpreting situations including interactions with several members of the deaf community. The student will be expected to participate in the day-to-day operations within the field of interpreting. They will begin with minimal hands-on experience in SAFE environments and as fieldwork progresses, may advance to a more expanded hands-on experience as determined by the observations of the supervising interpreter. Continued feedback should be given to address student involvement and interpreting. Duration: 1 week divided for preparation and debriefing, 4 weeks on site.
