Students will continue to develop techniques for interpreting from ASL into English. Focus will be on Consecutive Interpretation. Samples, both done on tape and live, will increase in complexity (for example:, non-standard English, unfamiliar content, emotionally laden text) and duration. Students will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned, practice self assessment, and employ strategies for self improvement during the schedule's lab sessions.
