First in a series of four courses, student will discover vocabulary, protocols for specialty interpreting and develop prediction skills related to various interpreting situations and environments. Specialty areas to be examined include:, Team interpreting situations such as board meetings, workshops, and one-on-one appointments in the educational, social service, medical, mental health, legal and employment areas. Students will also do community field hours in those settings.
