Principles Of Interpreting English To Asl

This course will focus on further enhancement of consecutive interpreting skills. When and how to choose one method over the other will be examined and practiced. Students will progress from brief, basic text samples to those that are more intermediate and challenging. Interpretations will be done mainly from English to ASL, or L1 to L2 (first language to second language). Students will have the opportunity to apply what they learn, practice self-assessment and employ strategies for self-improvement during the scheduled lab sessions.
