This course provides a deeper look into cultural, cross-cultural and oppression issues related to Deaf culture and Deaf community including such topics as history, heritage and education. This course will also investigate the similarities and differences between Deaf and Hearing cultures. Students will have the opportunity to explore the implications and influence the Deaf culture and Deaf community has on Sign Language Interpreters and vice versa.
