This course addresses Deaf Culture across Canada. The course will cover internal features of the cultures and crucial, factors in the identity of members of the culture(s). It will also investigate the manner in which research of ASL has influenced the study of Deaf Culture. This course will examine the relationship between the language of Deaf people and the culture. This course will discuss social interaction, values, various identities, traditions and sub-cultures within the larger culture.
