Introduction to the design of reinforced concrete components using the Canadian Limits States Design method and the provisions outlined in the CSA Standard A23.3-14 - Design of Concrete Structures. By the end of the course, students will be able to perform basic engineering calculations and interpret codes, symbols and terminology identified in the Canadian Portland Cement Association (CPCA) Handbook.
