In late-November, St. Clair’s Marketing and Advertising students competed in the 2022 Ontario Colleges’ Marketing Competition (OCMC).
Twenty-one St. Clair students from the Business-Marketing and Advertising and Marketing Communications Management programs travelled to Toronto to compete in 12 events, against 11 other Ontario colleges, over the two-day competition.
The Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) team – Evelyn Recinos, Nuray Ilter and their coach, Stephen McEachern – took third place.
The Advanced Marketing Strategy team – Mackenzie Leszczynski, Alyssa Postma and their coach, Stephen McEachern – also won third place.
The Prospect Pitch team – Bobby Bloomfield and Maria Aguila – won third place with help from their coach, Gino Bordignon.
Melissa Rodrigues won fifth place for Sales Presentations with help from her coach, Darren Grey.
Other participants were: Amol Sandhu and Mackenzie Lomax, Marketing; Blake Paterson and Bobby Bloomfield, Marketing Research; Kara Dearsley and Emma Papa, Retail; Joshua Schneider and Riley Schiller, Entrepreneurship; Andrea Ramos and Belal Hussein, Direct Marketing; Eva Qoja and Gavin Rugama, International Marketing; Safa Yaqoob, Job Interview; and Amol Sandhu, Mackenzie Lomax, Melissa Rodrigues, Taha Lababidi and Evelyn Recinos, Quiz Bowl.

And Professors Nicole Rourke volunteered her time to be an OCMC Quiz Bowl judge for the event.

OCMC is a student-focused learning experience that provides participants with the ability to demonstrate their essential, vocational, and employability skills before industry professionals.
