St. Clair College has partnered with TELUS to provide 5G technology throughout its Windsor campus.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the college and the communications company to install 5G equipment on its main campus in South Windsor.
Students from Corpus Christi Catholic Middle School and FJ Brennan Catholic High School celebrated the end of a unique 5-week pilot project on Friday, where they teamed up with local organizations like Invest Windsor-Essex, WE-Tech Alliance, and others. The goal was to make science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and robotics more exciting for youth.
St. Clair College made the list of Canada's Top 50 Research Colleges in 2020.
The annual ranking by Research Infosource Inc., is based on the amount of research grants colleges receive, along with contracts and contributions from third parties. St. Clair came in at number 50, making the list this year for the first time.
St. Clair College student researchers are developing an automated way to package sweet peppers for the greenhouse industry by connecting a people-friendly robot with a sophisticated vision system.
The tricky part is the robot must put two yellow, two red and two orange peppers in each bag destined for a grocery store shelf.
