Kevin Corriveau on course with golf bag/clubs

St. Clair College Golf head coach Kevin Corriveau has been named to Team Canada as a part of the coaching staff for the 2024 FISU (International University Sports Federation) World University Championships, to be held in Kuortane-Seinäjoki, Finland from Aug. 27 to 30, 2024.

Joining him on the coaching staff is Adam Wagner from the University of Windsor and Tara Savoie from the University of Waterloo.

Corriveau has been at the helm of the Saints golf program for 23 years.

"It is an honour and a privilege to have this opportunity to represent my country, the PGA of Canada, St. Clair College and all of Windsor and Essex County in this Championship," said Corriveau. "I am thankful to be part of it and very much appreciate the support of the St. Clair College Athletic department and academic sector in this journey.”

On the men's side, Anthony Jomphe of Université de Montréal will join William Forgues of Université Laval and John Paul Kahlert of the University of British Columbia.

On the women's side, University of Guelph golfer Ela Jones will unite with Kristi Godkin of Wilfried Laurier University and Morgan Best of the University of the Fraser Valley to round out the Canadian contingent.

The competition will take place at Ruuhikoskigolf, rated as one of the best 100 golf courses in the Nordic Countries. Ruuhikoskigolf has organized many major competitions, including the Finnish stroke-play Championship in 2019 and European Men's Senior Team Championship in 2006.
