CICE (Community Integration Through Cooperative Education) celebrated the 10th anniversary of their program with a memorable event. Over 100 current and former students, along with staff, faculty, administration, friends, and family, gathered at the main campus's Student Life Centre for an Open House celebration. The event was filled with joy and camaraderie as alumni reunited over games, refreshments, a memory signing station, and a fun-filled photo booth.
Attendees enjoyed inspiring speeches from current and past Chairs of the School of Community Studies, including Biagio Lattuca, Stephanie DeFranceschi, and Randal Semeniuk, as well as heartfelt addresses from students Zachary Balough and Cameron Wells.
The celebration was also a fundraising success, raising approximately $3,500 for the CICE Student Scholarship Fund. Generous contributions included $1,000 from the St. Clair College Alumni Association and $300 from the Student Representative Council (SRC). Additional support and door prizes were provided by the Alumni Association, SRC, OPSEU Local 137, the St. Clair College President's Office, the Genesis Centre, the Campus Bookstore, the St. Clair College marketing department, and the CICE Horticultural students.
The CICE Team extends heartfelt thanks to everyone for their generosity and continued support, and they look forward to many more years of fostering community and education through their program.
