The St. Clair College Saints Student Athletic Association (SSAA) will sell the St. Clair

College Fratmen football team to the College. The SSAA is a corporation with a board of directors

funded by student fees, and it is a separate entity from St. Clair College.

The St. Clair Fratmen football team had its inaugural season in the fall of 2021, playing in the

Ontario Football Conference (OFC). The team's home is the College's Acumen Stadium at the

Sports Park at the school's Windsor Campus. The team had a season record of 9-1 and played

in the Ontario Football Conference Championship game at home on November 23, 2021, losing

to the London Beefeaters 15-14.

Moving forward, the team's name will be the St. Clair College Saints, and it will continue to

compete in the Ontario Football Conference this fall.

"The College is pleased to invest in this football team and align it into our family of varsity teams

of Saints athletics at the College," said Ron Seguin, Vice President, International Relations,

Campus Development and Student Services. "Our state-of-the-art stadium, facilities and the new

fan base of students, families and the community for Saints football in our first season has created

a new student experience for St. Clair College."

Student demand to play football has developed quicker than anticipated, with a potential of over

60 full-time student college athletes making the roster this year.

The St. Clair College Saints football team has started practicing and will open its season on

Saturday, August 13 at 7:00 pm at Acumen Stadium on the South Campus.
