Jill Dunlop, Ontario's Minister of Colleges and Universities (MCU), made her first visit to the College Tuesday.
Minster Dunlop was appointed as the new Minister of MCU June 18 and began her tour of Ontario's Colleges and Universities this month.
She was joined by Rick Nicholls, MPP Chatham Kent and Leamington. During her tour at St. Clair College, the Minister met with President Patti France, along with other senior administrators and the Student Government Presidents of SRC, SSAA and TSI.
Minister Dunlop toured the new Sports Park and the Toldo Health Sciences building, where she saw nursing simulation labs, PSW labs, and the dental clinic.
Minister Dunlop represents Simcoe North. She was born and raised in rural Ontario in the Town of Coldwater. The Minister is familiar with the Ontario College system, as her early career included teaching as a faculty member at Georgian College.
