Spring 2022 - Level One Apprenticeships | St. Clair College

Apprenticeship classes will run for 8 weeks - Monday - Friday from April 25 to June 17.

The program is tuition-free and all materials, transportation and room and board (for students outside of Windsor) will be provided. Successful students will earn up to 2 secondary credits as well as their level 1 apprenticeship completion. Students must have a signed training agreement in these trades through OYAP to qualify.

There will be a mandatory Apprenticeship Orientation night on Wednesday, April 6th for all registered students.


332A - HAIRSTYLIST – LEVEL 1 APPRENTICESHIP

Length: 8 weeks (240 hours)

A Hairstylist cuts and styles hair; and provides chemical services, such as permanent waving, straightening and colouring. This program includes all the in‐school training required to complete the requirements of the Level 1 Apprenticeship Program as defined by the Apprenticeship Branch of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.


429A - GENERAL MACHINIST – LEVEL 1 APPRENTICESHIP

Length: 8 weeks (240 hours)

A general machinist (429A) is a skilled craftsperson who sets up and operates precision metal cutting and grinding machines such as lathes, milling machines, drills, shapers, boring mills and grinders. A machinist may use this variety of equipment to manufacture, install, operate, adjust and repair machine tools and other machines in common use.


These 2 apprenticeships will be offered annually in the Spring.
