(Mississauga, Ontario) – The St. Clair College Women’s Basketball team won their second meeting in a week over the University of Toronto on Sunday afternoon in Mississauga by a score of 92-79. After a strong opening quarter the Lady Saints led 27-19 but were slightly outplayed in the second quarter and led 44-37 by the halftime intermission. Toronto then made some more inroads cutting St. Clair’s lead to just 59-56 entering the fourth quarter. However, St. Clair recovered and put up a big number (33) down the stretch to seal the victory. The Saints held a 59-26 advantage in rebounding and converted a better percentage from the free throw line in the contest.

The St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team survived an early scare to earn a 100-71 victory over the Univ. of Toronto Sunday afternoon in Mississauga. Winless Toronto came out ready and held an early 16-6 lead putting the Saints on their heels. St. Clair recovered to only trail 24-23 entering the second quarter and continued that momentum to take a 50-43 lead by halftime. The Saints never looked back holding Toronto to just 32% shooting from the field and 28 points in the second half. St. Clair held a 57-41 advantage in rebounding while shooting 51% from the field to assist in themselves in the win.
