IMPORTANT:
Students must be 16 years of age or older.
Students under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver before they will be allowed to participate in this class.
A student will NOT be allowed to participate in any of our motorcycle courses if he/she does not have the following:
- sturdy jacket and pants
- sturdy boots (MUST COVER THE ANKLE)
- full fingered leather gloves
- eye protection (impact resistant glasses or face shield)
- a Department of Transportation approved helmet (no novelty)
- a valid “M1” beginners' motorcycle license for MOT 103N
- a valid “M2” license for MOT 112N
- A waterproof jacket is also recommended for rainy days. Course runs rain or shine!
Note: Students are to meet in the main lobby of the South Windsor or Thames Campus for all motorcycle courses, prior to the start time.

Transfer, Withdrawal and Refund Policy:
If you do not show up for your course, you will not receive a refund. Refunds will NOT be issued to students who arrive late for the course. Transfer to another available section will be at the discretion of the College and subject to applicable charges and must be requested prior to the course. If you need to withdraw from the course, contact the Continuing Education office at least one business day prior to the course date. For a full refund a formal withdrawal must be made prior to the course.
After the start of a course, refunds will be made at the discretion of College management. It is the responsibility of the student to check their registration receipt and verify their registered course date against the section number and semester or term. Classes fill up fast so register early!

PLEASE NOTE: Any course paperwork involving license upgrade, must be presented to a DriveTest Centre within 6 months of course completion. All Canada Safety Council replacement certificates will be subject to a $25.00 fee.

Canada Safety Council's "Gearing Up" Program
This Canada Safety Council Motorcycle Training Program provides on the bike practical instruction for the beginner: no previous experience is necessary. While most of the course is practical, information is also given on: motorcycle maintenance, defensive driving, risk awareness and rules of the road. The course provides motorcycles, fuel and lubricants, expert instruction, written materials, student kit and testing and evaluation for your M2 Motorcycle Driver's license. Please note: Canada Safety Council certificates will only be awarded to students upon successful completion of the training hours AND testing. Students are to meet in the main lobby for all motorcycle courses, prior to the course start time.

MOTORCYCLE RETEST
MOT 115N
This course is offered to students who did not successfully complete the requirements of the Motorcycle Training Course (MOT 103N). Students will be allowed practice time on the motorcycle prior to the M1 Exit test. Students must have taken MOT 103N within the current season. Based on Ministry standards, students are allowed ONE opportunity for a re-test per course. If a student fails a re-test, they must repeat the motorcycle riding course. Please note: Students must pass the M2 license test with our instructors to obtain the Canada Safety Council Certificate for the training course. Cost is $50 for participants of a MOT 103N course this season. Students must pre-register.

M2 EXIT MOTORCYCLE TRAINING

This course is designed in conjunction with the legal requirements of the Ministry of Transportation Graduated Licensing System. It will meet and exceed the requirements to have motorcycle riders currently riding with an M2 Class License to upgrade their status to an M Class Licensed motorcycle rider. REMINDER: This must be completed within five years of completing your M2. Students MUST bring their own insured motorcycles. Under no circumstances will we supply motorcycles for this course. 2 wheeled motorcycles ONLY. No motorized tricycles will be permitted. You must have the M2 licence for 22 months (or 18 months if you have taken an approved m1 exit course), prior to taking this course. $355.00
