Fred Sorrell, chairman of the St. Clair College Foundation Golf Tournament, was pleased to present a $12,000 cheque to Windsor Police Service Deputy Chief Al Fredricks, Chairman of the 2009 Special Olympics Summer Games.

The funds were raised at St. Clair College's Annual Foundation Golf Tournament, held at Pointe West Golf Club in Amherstburg.  Each year, the college chooses a local charity to be the beneficiary of this annual golf event.

The 4 day Summer Games begin on Thursday July 23rd at various sites in Windsor, Ontario. The games bring over 800 athletes and coaches from across the province to compete in Track and Field, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Soccer and Softball.
